The foundry was founded in 1929 by Raymond HADOUX in rue Pierre Brossolette in Reims. Since 1969, it has been located in the western industrial zone.
The first parts cast in the old foundry were wheels for prams, but also running boards and number plates for cars and other small series.
The foundry later specialised in small and medium-sized industrial parts for industrial equipment and tools.
Natural sand casting was used from 1929 to 1967, and from 1968 onwards it was replaced by chemical sand casting, a faster process and implementation.
Shell moulding was introduced in 1930 for mass-produced parts.
The melting of alloys was done in coke ovens from 1929 to 1955 and since then in gas ovens.
The V-process casting system, in which the casts are hardened by a vacuum, was developed in 1980. This innovative technique allows us to produce complex parts with a much better appearance than other types of moulding. It is also more environmentally friendly, as it eliminates chemicals and sand waste.
Today, bought by ICM Technologie, the HADOUX Foundry continues its history. The objective is to modernise the foundry in order to achieve quality, reactivity and production control.
